Dear Trude,
Osceola Township, with a population of less than 2,000, is being sued by Nestlé so it can pump even more water from Michigan to sell at a huge profit.
When the Township denied Nestlé's application to build a booster station to pump 400 gallons of water per minute, Nestlé got mad and sued.
The hearing starts in just two weeks and Osceola Township is already $30,000 in debt from fighting Nestlé. Osceola Township members just reached out to SumOfUs seeking our help to pay for the legal fees knowing that time and time again, you've stopped Nestlé all over the world.
With your donation now, we'll help ensure that Osceola Township isn’t bullied into giving up any more of its precious groundwater to Nestlé.

Yes, I'll chip in 1 € now to help take on Nestlé.
Osceola Township is just up the road from Flint, where residents still don’t have access to clean water and are suffering through one of the longest and most notorious water crises in North America in years.
Over 375,000 SumOfUs members have fought to keep Nestlé from pumping millions of gallons of water in Michigan. And so far, Nestlé hasn’t been able to secure the permit it needs.
Nestlé is counting on the tiny size of Osceola Township and its limited resources to force them to buckle under the financial might of Nestlé’s multi-billion dollar corporate empire. What Nestlé isn’t counting on, though, is the power of people like you.
If each of us contributes a little to the legal fight, we can show Nestlé that together we are stronger and won’t submit to its intimidation tactics.

Will you chip in 1 € to fight this ridiculous lawsuit?
This is yet another example of Nestlé using its corporate might to bully small townships, putting its corporate greed before people and the planet.
Together we can stop Nestlé, but we need to get to work now because hearings start in just two weeks.
With your contribution, Osceola Township will be able to fight for the protection of their water and stop Nestlé from pumping millions of gallons more a year.

Will you chip in 1 € today?
Time and time again, SumOfUs members like you have made it possible to keep water-bottling corporations in check all around the world. In the last three years, we’ve stopped Nestlé in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, and in the U.S. states of Michigan and Oregon. And just last month, we had a huge victory in New Zealand stopping a company from draining water to sell from a UNESCO site.
We need to protect our water resources now more than ever. With ever-increasing extreme weather events and longer and more intense droughts, our water must stay in the ground to nourish future generations. We can help ensure that our precious water is protected with your contribution.
Donating just takes a moment – use Paypal or your card.
Can you donate 1 € today to the people of Osceola Township from being sued by Nestlé?
Thanks for all that you do,
Angus and the team at SumOfUs
